Even with the extremely wet weather last Saturday morning, it was great to see so many of you, turn up to a meeting held on the edge of the Netherclay Community Woodland.
The event was to discuss the formation of a proposed ‘Friends of Netherclay’ group.

Over 20 braved the conditions, with apologies sent from a number of others.
The meeting was led by local resident David Gurr, who said: “many thanks to all of you who joined in the meeting yesterday and to those of you who wish to be kept informed. It is clear there are a lot of people interested in taking this forward and I was delighted to learn of the range of interests and skill sets we have within the community.”

David has already contacted all those who have offered their services in various capacities and plans to arrange another meeting in mid October, I’ll keep you updated.

This type of residents led project is an excellent way of bringing the community together and most certainly has my full support.

Well done to all involved

John Hunt
