Bishops Hull Jumble Sale is a huge success.Follow John Hunt on Social Media:
On Sunday 4th February, I popped into the Bishops Hull Village Hall to take a look at the annual Jumble Sale organised by Kate Beattie, Annette Newton and their magnificent team.
To say it was busy would be a massive understatement, so good to see in excess of 150 people supporting a local event and raising money for the ‘Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home’ a charity that provides hospice at home care for terminally ill children.
Kate said “The support we had was overwhelming. We would like to say a huge thank you for all the donations given, from the clothes to the cakes it was amazing. We would like to say thank you to everyone that gave up their time to lend us a hand on the Saturday and the Sunday it was gratefully received. We would like to say a huge thank you to Tracey Doolan who have up so much of her valuable time and without your guidance I’m sure it wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it did so Thank you so so much.
We would also like to say thank you to all that came and bought from us, it was so lovely to see so many people. I spoke to Tracey and she thinks we had at least 150 people attend. We raised over £1000 helping us hit our target of £3000.”
Here again are the names of the volunteers in the photo above…
Flo Tibbs, Sue Faire, Erin Doolan, Kate Tidmarsh, Valerie Burke-Ward, Millie Allder, Tessa Grabham, Tracey Doolan, Claire Dungate, Kate Cooper, Annette and Eddie Newton, Amelia Aggus, Kate Beattie, Joy Manley. Helpers not in the photo were John Beattie and Sarah Sweeting.
Well done to all those involved, community spirit at its very best.
