A lovely day out at Knightshayes, near TivertonFollow John on Social Media:
What a beautiful day it was yesterday (Sunday 13th March). As a member of the National Trust, decision making on what to do on a beautiful day is made so much easier.
Yes, love the beach, but prefer it to be a tad warmer. So on this sunny spring-like day we set off to the very lovely Knightshayes.
A Victorian country house surrounded by acres of glorious gardens and parkland. And glorious is most certainly is.
It’s a very comfortable 20-30 minute drive from Bishop’s Hull. See the map below…
I don’t know about you, but I love going somewhere really beautiful and rather like combining it with a spot of lunch or at the very least, a nice cream tea (low fat, obviously lol). Well Knightshayes fits the bill perfectly. They serve great food and the grounds on a sunny day are simple stunning.
Hope you enjoy the photos, note how blue the sky is, wonderful. Didn’t take many of the house as it was far too nice strolling around the magnificent woodland trails 🙂
